Who can take part
- You must be an adult 50 years or older with a small kidney tumor (4 cm or smaller) that is still inside the kidney and willing to donate your kidney for transplant.
- You must have normal kidney function (eGFR over 80) and no protein in your urine.
- The recipient must be 60 or older with end-stage kidney disease and no other potential living donor.
- The recipient cannot have conditions that make transplant too risky, like active infection, cancer (except minor skin cancer), or a life expectancy less than 5 years.
- Both donor and recipient must be willing to undergo a full medical and social evaluation at the transplant center.
