Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
- You must be scheduled for surgery to remove part of your kidney (partial nephrectomy) — by any method, including laparoscopic, robotic, or open surgery.
- Your blood counts and liver function must be within acceptable limits.
- You must not have severe heart or blood vessel disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or uncontrolled diabetes.
- Your kidney function must not be severely low (eGFR less than 30).
- You must not have a horseshoe kidney, a single kidney, or be pregnant.
