Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This study follows adults diagnosed with inflammation of blood vessels in the brain (CNS vasculitis). It aims to better understand the condition over time and could help improve how it’s diagnosed and managed.

Who can take part

  • You’re at least 18 years old
  • You have a new neurologic problem (like weakness, numbness, trouble speaking) that doctors can’t explain otherwise
  • Your diagnosis fits CNS vasculitis based on either brain-vessel imaging (angiography) or a tissue biopsy (histopathology) showing vessel inflammation
  • Doctors have not found evidence of vasculitis elsewhere in your body or another cause that could explain the findings
  • You’re willing to read about the study and sign informed consent

Study follows adults with vasculitis over time

This observational study follows adults with vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels) during an active flare or relapse. It aims to better understand how the disease changes over time and may help researchers plan future treatments.

Cerebrovascular disease and brain scan study

This study looks at how brain scans (CT or MRI) relate to symptoms in people with blood vessel problems in the brain. If you've already had a brain scan for medical reasons, you may be able to join.

Study inflammation and brain small-vessel disease in adults 40+

This study looks at inflammation-related changes in people with “small-vessel disease” of the brain. It will follow participants over time to understand the condition better and see how brain symptoms may change.

Registry Study of Small Vessel Disease in the Brain

This study tracks people with cerebral small vessel disease (changes in the brain's tiny blood vessels) to learn more about how the condition progresses. It may be a good fit if you are 50 or older and have had an MRI showing these changes.
