tPA eye treatment for serious bleeding after eye rupture

Who can take part

  • You must have a severe eye rupture (a serious injury that affects the eyeball).
  • You must have significant bleeding in the suprachoroidal space (between eye layers) and/or subretinal space (under the retina).
  • Your bleeding must be more than a small amount (it needs to be considered severe).
  • If you only have a small amount of suprachoroidal bleeding and/or a small amount of subretinal bleeding, you likely cannot join.
