Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • The stroke must have started within the last 24 hours.
  • You must have a moderate to severe stroke (NIHSS score 6 or higher, or 3-5 with disabling symptoms like weakness or trouble speaking).
  • The blockage must be in a medium-sized brain artery (like M2/M3, A2/A3, or P1/P2/P3) and only one blocked vessel.
  • You must not have had a recent seizure when the stroke started, and you must be able to safely undergo a catheter-based procedure.
