Who can take part

  • Your child is 8 to 13 years old
  • Your child has a narrow upper jaw (with or without a crossbite)
  • You and your child are patients at the study’s orthodontics clinics (Medical University of South Carolina or University of Pittsburgh)
  • Your family can do online study steps using an internet-connected electronic device
  • You are willing to consent, and if your child is 12–13, they are willing to assent
  • Your child has NOT had orthodontic treatment before or is not currently in treatment
