Nasal medicine trial for fast heart rhythm in children

Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia

Who can take part

  • Ages 6 to under 18 years, and both boys and girls can join
  • BMI is within the healthy range for age and sex (between the 5th and 85th percentiles)
  • History of the specific rhythm problem: PSVT that involves the AV node (AVNRT or AVRT), confirmed by ECG or a monitor (and if they had an ablation, the rhythm must still show up after)
  • You (and the child, if able) can sign consent/assent and follow study visits and procedures
  • For girls or anyone who can get pregnant: negative pregnancy test and reliable birth control (or no sexual activity) are required
