Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia (fast, regular heartbeat originating above the heart's main chambers) confirmed by an electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Your blood pressure is stable (at least 90/60 mmHg) and you are alert and oriented
  • You do not have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome or pre-excitation patterns on your ECG
  • You can safely lie down and have a nasal swab performed, with no recent nasal surgery, active nosebleeds, or nasal growths
  • You are not pregnant and can provide written consent to participate
