Drug trial for brain fog after COVID-19

This Phase 2 trial tests DAOIB to improve “brain fog” and thinking problems that happen after COVID-19. You may be screened if your symptoms started after a COVID infection and have lasted for months, and if your health tests are normal.

Who can take part

  • You have brain fog or thinking problems after COVID that lasted at least 2 months and started after your COVID infection (ongoing for at least 3 months total).
  • You do not have another medical condition that better explains your symptoms.
  • Your blood and urine tests, and heart tracing (ECG), are all within normal limits.
  • You have no major stroke or circulation problems in the brain (significant cerebrovascular disease).
  • You have not taken memantine recently or at all (a specific brain medicine).
  • You can follow study instructions and complete tests; no current severe hallucinations, confusion, or delirium.
