Brain stimulation study for nicotine dependence and reward activity

If you qualify, you may receive sessions of brain stimulation as the researchers look for the best brain target.

Who can take part

  • You currently use nicotine and your screening score shows nicotine dependence
  • You are 18 to 55 years old
  • You have not had substance abuse treatment in the last 30 days
  • Your health is stable, and you can attend and finish all study visits
  • If you are female, you are not pregnant
  • You can safely have an MRI and rTMS (no metal in/near the head, and not claustrophobic)
