- Your child is 4 to 12 years old, with a new asthma diagnosis or recurring asthma symptoms
- Your child meets the clinic’s children’s asthma diagnosis guidelines (2016) based on symptoms and test results
- You (a parent/guardian) can understand the study and sign consent for your child
- Your child does not have other lung or breathing illnesses (like long-term lung scarring, tuberculosis, or severe breathing failure)
- Your child has not taken immune-suppressing medicines or steroid medicine in the last 4 weeks
- Your child has complete clinical data and exam/test results so the team can assess them fully
