This trial studies savolitinib (an oral MET-targeted medicine) combined with docetaxel (an IV chemotherapy) in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumor has high MET activity. It’s designed to see if this combination can shrink tumors or control the cancer after the first standard treatment.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and able to sign informed consent.
  • Your lung cancer must be confirmed as EGFR/ALK/ROS1 “wildtype,” and MET “exon 14 skipping” is not present (MET needs to be high).
  • You must have only had first-line (initial) systemic treatment for advanced NSCLC, and you cannot have taken any MET-blocking drug before.
  • Your tumor must show MET overexpression on tumor tissue testing (IHC result of 3+ in at least 50% of tumor cells).
  • Your recent overall health must be fairly good (ECOG/WHO performance 0–1) and you must have measurable disease on scans.
  • You must have adequate blood counts and organ function (liver, kidneys, and blood clotting) for chemotherapy.
