Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older
- You are scheduled to have gender-affirming mastectomy at UCSF
- You can read and sign consent forms for yourself
- You meet WPATH requirements for gender-affirming mastectomy (including ongoing documented gender dysphoria and hormone therapy as required)
- Your health status is generally moderate (ASA I to III, as determined by your care team)
