Who can take part
- You are a man age 18 or older with prostate cancer that has spread (metastatic) and you are starting hormone therapy (ADT)
- Your cancer diagnosis is confirmed by a biopsy (histologically proven prostate adenocarcinoma)
- Before starting, you can have the required baseline scans: CT of the abdomen/pelvis plus a bone scan OR a PSMA PET scan
- You have liver function that is not too high (no more than about 2 times the lab’s upper normal limit)
- You can sign consent and understand study details (English or with an interpreter)
- You can stop and stay off certain antibiotics long enough for a washout period, and during the study
