Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and having a C-section
  • Your C-section plan uses spinal anesthesia (not general anesthesia unless spinal fails)
  • You live at the same altitude where you were born and you’ve stayed there for at least the past year
  • You have no history of high blood pressure disorders or stroke-related problems
  • You do not have conditions that prevent spinal anesthesia, and you’re not headed to the ICU after delivery for major complications
