Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Marfan syndrome based on Ghent criteria and genetic eye/ligament findings (often a FBN1 gene change or eye lens displacement).
  • You’re between 10 and 25 years old when you join.
  • You have NOT had surgery on your aorta (for example, repair of the main heart artery).
  • You have NOT had spinal surgery that left implanted materials that could interfere with MRI scans.
  • You can safely do moderate exercise; your health conditions must not make exercise too hard.
  • Your aorta is not enlarged to the surgery-prevention size (not 4.5 cm or more in diameter).
