Who can take part

  • You (or your child) must agree to sign informed consent and come to follow-up visits
  • You must be male, age 6 or older, with XLRS confirmed by RS1 gene mutation testing
  • The study eye’s best corrected vision must be 63 letters or worse on the E-ETDRS chart
  • The study eye must not have other eye problems that would make eye exam pictures hard to read
  • Do not use (and not have used in the last 3 months) eye drops called topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitors in the study eye
  • The study eye must not have had any eye surgery within the last 6 months
