Prevent low blood pressure during dialysis by blocking bradykinin

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 80
  • You have end-stage kidney disease and have been on hemodialysis (or hemodiafiltration) at least 6 months, about 3 times per week
  • You’ve had at least 6 episodes of low blood pressure during dialysis in the last 8 weeks
  • Your usual pre-dialysis systolic blood pressure is between 110 and 170 (on two average checks)
  • Your dialysis is working well (Kt/V score is at least 1.2) and your dialysis settings/medicines haven’t changed in the last 14 days
  • Your blood counts and liver tests are high enough (no very severe anemia, low platelets, or major liver enzyme/bilirubin problems)
