Study of breast cancer prevention in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers

Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 or older
  • You agree to join by signing informed consent
  • You have a confirmed harmful inherited BRCA1 and/or BRCA2 mutation
  • You have one of these situations: no cancer history, breast cancer that was treated with curative intent, or stage IV breast cancer diagnosed after the BRCA1/2 test
  • You were seen at the study center starting in 2010 (or after the site started recruiting for the prospective group)
  • You did not have another cancer in the last 5 years before your BRCA1/2 mutation test (with limited exceptions like early ovarian cancer, certain skin cancers, melanoma in situ, or CIS of the cervix)
