Who can take part
- You are a woman, age 18 or older
- You carry a known gene mutation (BRCA1, BRCA2, RAD51C, RAD51D, BRIP1, or PALB2) that increases ovarian cancer risk
- You have not had ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer before
- You do not currently have advanced cancer of any other type
- You are able to attend follow-up visits and complete quality-of-life surveys for about 3 years
- You have not had major pelvic surgery that would make preventive surgery (removal of ovaries or fallopian tubes) unsafe
