Who can take part

  • Be in a high-risk group based on age and family history of blood cancers (like MGUS, smoldering myeloma, myeloma, or Waldenström’s).
  • If age is 30 or older: you need a first-degree relative with one of those blood conditions.
  • If age is 18 or older: you need two or more first- or second-degree relatives with one of those blood conditions.
  • You must be willing to sign consent for the study and can stop at any time without affecting your medical care.
  • You must not already have a known plasma cell blood disorder (like MGUS, smoldering myeloma, myeloma, or Waldenström’s).
  • You must not currently be pregnant (a positive pregnancy test during screening would exclude you).
