Lactobacillus treatment for milder stroke-type brain symptoms
Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation, Mental health clinical trials.
This trial looks at whether taking Lactobacillus acidophilus can improve outcomes for people age 35–65 with recent, mild-to-moderate stroke-like symptoms caused by reduced blood flow in the brain. It may help by improving recovery and prognosis, but it depends on whether you meet several imaging, timing, and health-safety requirements.

This study looks at whether Lactobacillus (LA) can improve outcomes for people with reduced blood flow to the brain after surgery. It focuses on cognition and overall recovery in the first few months after symptoms start.
This trial tests whether tiny particles from stem cells can help people recover thinking and memory after a recent stroke. Doctors will check if the treatment is safe and if it boosts brain function.
This study tests whether taking probiotics (beneficial bacteria) within 3 days of a stroke can help with recovery. Probiotics may support gut health, which researchers believe could improve stroke outcomes.
This trial tests if taking probiotics can improve daily life activities, reduce anxiety, and boost quality of life for people who have had a moderate stroke. It looks at how helpful these good bacteria might be during recovery.
This trial studies an herbal treatment given after an ischemic stroke to see if it improves recovery during rehab. It may help people regain more movement and daily function after stroke.
This trial tests whether sodium oligomannate can help prevent or lessen memory and thinking problems that can happen after a first stroke. It may help people who are recently hospitalized for ischemic stroke and have mild cognitive decline risk.
