Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • You are planning a corneal transplant that replaces the cornea’s inner lining cells (PK, DSAEK, UT-DSAEK, or DMEK)
  • Your reason for transplant is keratoconus or Fuchs endothelial dystrophy (lower-to-moderate rejection risk)
  • You have not had a corneal transplant before
  • You do NOT have a current corneal infection (microbial keratitis) or non-infectious/autoimmune keratitis
  • You do not have eye conditions that would block the study, like a corneal perforation, active/inflamed uveitis, uncontrolled high eye pressure, planned preloaded DSAEK/DMEK, or an anterior chamber lens
