Who can take part
- Baby must be 1 to 24 months old when the fNIRS brain scan is done
- Baby must have permanent hearing loss in one or both ears
- You must be a legal representative who can understand the consent form and say yes
- The fNIRS test is the only study activity for the baby after the scan
- If you are the managing audiologist for that specific baby, you cannot be in the audiologist study arm for that baby
