Who can take part
- You have head and neck cancer of the mouth, throat, salivary glands, or an unknown primary source.
- Your treatment plan includes local radiation (either to cure the cancer or after surgery to lower relapse risk).
- You can apply the gel yourself (or you’re able to do self-application reliably).
- You do not have an allergy or medical reason you can’t use any ingredients in “Gel X” (like water, saccharin, PVP, taurine, zinc, certain preservatives/binders, pullulan, or flavors).
- You do not have a neurological or mental health condition that would interfere with your ability to apply the gel.
- You are not currently taking part in another clinical trial.
