  • Your baby has congenital CMV infection confirmed by a CMV test (like PCR on urine/saliva/blood/CSF) within the first 21 days of life, or by specific older sample testing (dried blood spot, cord blood).
  • The CMV diagnosis is supported by an approved test type (CMV-DNA PCR, viral culture, or similar lab confirmation).
  • The child is under 11 years old.
  • A parent or legal guardian can provide written informed consent.
  • Both willingness to participate and eligibility are required; if consent isn’t given, the child can’t join.
