Therapeutic fasting to study immune aging in older adults

FastingDiet, Healthy

Part of Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This trial tests whether a medically guided fasting-style diet can affect “immune aging” (how well the immune system works) in older people living in long-term care. It may help researchers learn if this approach can improve immune health, but it requires careful diet follow-through and health screening.

Study how 36-hour water fasting affects immune signals

This study looks at how a 36-hour water-only fast changes immune-related markers and gut (microbiome) signals in healthy adults. It may help researchers understand how fasting could affect health, even though this trial is focused on people without major medical conditions.

How Fasting Affects Your Immune System and Metabolism

This study looks at how a 3-day fasting period changes your body's immune system and how it burns energy. Researchers want to understand these changes in healthy young adults to learn more about how fasting affects health.

Fasting and exercise effects on immune health

This study looks at how a 48-hour fast, alone or combined with exercise, affects your immune system and blood sugar control. It may help explain how short-term fasting can improve health in active young adults.

Fasting-mimicking diet for aging and health in adults

This study tests whether a special low-calorie diet that mimics fasting can help reduce risk factors for aging and age-related diseases. It is for healthy adults aged 30 to 65 who are willing to follow this diet for several days each month.
