Gene therapy safety study for inherited high triglycerides and pancreatitis

Who can take part

  • You have inherited (genetic) high triglycerides that are not well controlled with usual treatment and diet.
  • You have had pancreatitis at least once seriously, or pancreatitis episodes twice, within the last 5 years.
  • Your fasting triglyceride level is above a set threshold (and you followed a low-fat diet before the blood test).
  • Your genetic test shows a change in the GPIHBP1 or LPL gene (either one can qualify).
  • If you can get pregnant, you must use reliable birth control starting before screening and continuing through the study (and for months after).
