Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older and weigh at least 110 pounds (50 kg).
- Your fasting triglyceride levels (a type of fat in the blood) must be very high, between 5.65 and 22.60 mmol/L (about 500 to 2000 mg/dL).
- If you are taking medications for high cholesterol, they must have been at a stable dose for a while before joining.
- Women who can get pregnant must use effective birth control during the study and for 2 months after; men must use birth control and not donate sperm for 3 months after.
- You cannot have certain medical conditions like a history of pancreatitis, severe liver or kidney disease, or uncontrolled diabetes with complications.
