Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have chronic liver disease or cirrhosis confirmed by one of these: biopsy, Fibroscan result above 10 kPa, or a mix of symptoms/lab tests/imaging plus risk factors
- If you do not have liver disease, you are 18 or older and have no known liver disease (or you are having blood drawn before surgery as part of routine care)
- You are able and willing to sign consent for the study
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are not using certain blood-thinning/hemostasis-affecting medicines
- No recent surgery (within 2 weeks) and no blood transfusions (within 2 weeks) before the blood test
