Testing nerve stimulation plus psilocybin for emotional well-being

HealthyPsychedelic ExperiencesVagus Nerve Stimulation

Treatments studied

This early safety study tests whether stimulating a nerve (taVNS) combined with psilocybin can change emotional well-being. It also checks safety issues like heart rhythms, lab results, and whether fMRI brain scans are possible.

Psilocybin with or without pimavanserin pretreatment

This trial tests whether taking pimavanserin before psilocybin changes the drug's effects in healthy volunteers who have never used psychedelics. It aims to understand how to make psychedelic therapy safer and more predictable.

Vagus nerve stimulation and brain performance in young adults

This study tests if a mild electrical pulse on the ear (vagus nerve stimulation) can improve thinking and memory in healthy young people. It also looks at whether men and women respond differently.

NCT05301608Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Psilocybin study of brain activity and changing thoughts

This Phase 1/2 study tests psilocybin to see how it affects brain signals and the “content” of thoughts while you are monitored during the study. Because participants must be generally healthy and mentally stable, it may be an option if you meet those safety and medication rules and are comfortable having your brain activity measured.

NCT06512194Recruiting· Phase 2
Psilocybin for depression study

This trial tests whether psilocybin can help people with major depression who are currently having a depressive episode. It aims to understand how the treatment works and if it is safe and effective.

Testing a nerve-stimulation device for PTSD symptoms

This study tests if a non-invasive device that gently stimulates a nerve in the neck can help reduce PTSD symptoms. You'll receive the stimulation during sessions and share your feedback.
