Psilocybin study of brain activity and changing thoughts

This Phase 1/2 study tests psilocybin to see how it affects brain signals and the “content” of thoughts while you are monitored during the study. Because participants must be generally healthy and mentally stable, it may be an option if you meet those safety and medication rules and are comfortable having your brain activity measured.

Who can take part

  • Be 18 to 75 years old and able to give written consent
  • Be healthy and psychologically stable after medical and mental health screening
  • Fluent in English and have at least a high-school education (or equivalent)
  • Be willing to follow substance and medication timing rules (no alcohol/nicotine/other drugs before sessions; no caffeine changes; avoid certain medications ahead of time)
  • Have used a psychedelic at least five times in your life
  • Be able to have MRI scans (no MRI limits like certain implants, and able to tolerate the scanner)
