This study tests whether ivabradine (a heart-rate medicine) can improve blood flow and other vital measurements in adults with sepsis in the ICU. It may help by lowering a fast heart rate when blood pressure is already being supported.

Who can take part
- You are an adult age 18 or older
- You are being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU)
- A doctor has diagnosed sepsis with infection plus a worsening SOFA score (Sepsis-3 rules)
- Your blood pressure is being supported so mean arterial pressure stays at least 65 mmHg for at least 2 hours on the same vasopressor doses
- Your heart rhythm is sinus rhythm, with heart rate 95 bpm or higher for at least 2 hours but under 72 hours
- You have NOT already taken ivabradine before this study
