Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older
  • You are being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU)
  • A doctor has diagnosed sepsis with infection plus a worsening SOFA score (Sepsis-3 rules)
  • Your blood pressure is being supported so mean arterial pressure stays at least 65 mmHg for at least 2 hours on the same vasopressor doses
  • Your heart rhythm is sinus rhythm, with heart rate 95 bpm or higher for at least 2 hours but under 72 hours
  • You have NOT already taken ivabradine before this study
