Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • Your doctor suspects you have sepsis (a serious infection affecting your whole body)
  • You have signs of sepsis-related low blood pressure or poor circulation, such as high lactate levels in your blood, very low blood pressure, or need for heart-support medications
  • You have already started taking IV antibiotics (medicine given through a vein to fight infection)
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have another severe illness expected to limit your life to less than 30 days
