Who can take part
- Your child has a childhood epilepsy syndrome that includes a “sleep activation” EEG test
- Your child has tried at least two anti-seizure medicines (and they did not work well)
- A sleep EEG was done in the last 7 days and showed abnormal seizure-related wave patterns
- Your child has not taken sulthiame before in a previous study
- Your child is using no more than two anti-seizure medicines at the start of the trial
- Your child is not taking corticosteroids now, and seizure medicine was not changed in the 7 days before the baseline EEG
