Who can take part
- You are age 20 or older and having laparoscopic liver surgery for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
- You are able to sign informed consent (agree to join the study).
- You are not taking estrogen medicines, bisphosphonates, or bone-disease medicines before surgery.
- You did not take calcium tablets within the 2 weeks before your operation.
- You do not have sarcoidosis or multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer).
- You are not pregnant and do not plan pregnancy within 3 months after surgery.
