This study compares a Sestamibi scan (with a special camera) versus a Fluorocholine scan (with PET/CT) to see which one better finds a suspected parathyroid adenoma. If your tests suggest a parathyroid problem but the first Sestamibi scan is negative or unclear, this trial may help answer the next best scan choice.

Who can take part
- You are being evaluated for a suspected parathyroid adenoma based on high calcium and non-suppressed parathyroid hormone
- Your 99mTc Sestamibi SPECT/CT scan was negative or unclear
- You are age 18 or older
- Blood tests show liver function isn’t too high (bilirubin and ALT/AST within limits)
- Your kidney function is adequate (not significantly reduced creatinine clearance and not too high creatinine)
- You can complete scan safety steps, including an ECG that does not show a very long QT interval; and if you are female, you are not pregnant
