This study follows people over age 40 who have their first traumatic “front” shoulder dislocation to learn what injuries happen and how they can be identified. It may help doctors better understand what to check for after this kind of injury.

Who can take part
- Be older than 40 years
- This must be your first traumatic shoulder dislocation where the shoulder comes out at the front
- You are able and willing to be followed for up to 2 years
- You must agree to have visits/tests including TAC (CT scan), NMR (MRI), EMG (nerve test), and ultrasound on both sides
- You should not have had fractures or nerve/blood-vessel problems in that same arm before
