Who can take part

  • You have liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma, confirmed by biopsy or by specific scan findings
  • You’ve had any prior liver procedures (like radiation, RFA, or TACE) at least 4 weeks ago, and you’re fully recovered
  • Your overall health is good enough for treatment (performance status 0 to 2)
  • You are age 18 or older and can sign the study consent form
  • You have signs you’re higher risk for liver strain (for example, certain lab/score results, or larger treated tumor size)
  • You can safely take steroids like prednisone (no steroid allergy, no serious uncontrolled infections, and blood sugar is under control)
