Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older and sign consent (and authorize release of health information).
  • Have small cell lung cancer that is confirmed by biopsy or other tissue test, and fit the study’s stage and disease extent rules.
  • Have adequate blood and organ test results from labs done within 28 days before enrollment (including white blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets, kidney function, and liver tests).
  • Have an ECOG performance status that shows you can carry out daily activities (0–2 for one group, 0–1 for another).
  • Have no recent major surgery (within 28 days), no active serious infection needing IV antibiotics, and no known allergy to study drugs.
  • Follow pregnancy and contraception rules: if you can become pregnant or are male, you must use effective birth control; you must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
