  • You are age 18 or older
  • You have been treated with VA ECMO for severe circulation and/or breathing problems
  • You have cardiogenic shock
  • A left-heart unloading device (IABP or Impella) could be started within 8 hours of starting ECMO
  • You (or your medical decision-maker) agree to join the study registry and consent to the trial
