NST-6179 for liver disease from intestinal failure in adults
Part of Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This Phase 2 study tests NST-6179 in people who have intestinal failure–associated liver disease (IFALD). It aims to improve liver function and overall outcomes for people whose liver inflammation and lab tests have been abnormal for at least 6 months.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- Age 16 or older when you sign consent
- Have had nutrition through an IV (parenteral supplementation) for at least 6 months
- Have a diagnosis of IFALD with abnormal liver blood tests (and/or high bilirubin) for at least 6 months
- Your liver blood tests and screening labs must fit “stable liver disease” and not severe liver failure (no cirrhosis)
- Recent screening should show no other reason for liver disease (not viral, autoimmune, metabolic, or alcohol-related)

This study tests whether a new drug called AZD2389 is safe and well-tolerated in adults with steatotic liver disease (fatty liver) that has progressed to advanced scarring. The trial aims to see if this drug might help slow or improve liver damage in people with this condition.
This study is testing whether advanced imaging and other non-invasive methods can properly identify people with significant liver scarring due to metabolic liver disease or alcohol-related liver disease. It may help find better ways to track liver health without repeated needle biopsies.
This trial tests whether a new drug, GSK4532990, is safe and effective compared to a placebo in adults aged 18 to 70 with liver disease caused by alcohol use. The study aims to see if the drug can help treat advanced chronic liver disease.
This Phase 2 study tests whether SNP-610 (or a placebo) can improve non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a serious form of fatty liver disease. It also checks safety by comparing outcomes between the two groups.
This trial tests an experimental drug for people with severe alcoholic hepatitis that did not improve with steroids. Participants should have a moderate level of organ failure, but not require a breathing tube or kidney dialysis.
This early-phase study tests whether ALN-PNP is safe and well tolerated, first in healthy adults and then in adults with MASLD (fatty liver disease). If you have MASLD, it may help researchers learn whether this medicine is a promising option for treating liver fat buildup.
