Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old
- Your CT scan shows blunt chest trauma with 3 or more rib fractures
- You are breathing on your own or receiving mechanical ventilation in the trauma bay
- You are expected to need ICU (or intermediate care) admission
- Your blood pressure is stable enough at the time of the catheter placement (not very low despite initial treatment)
