Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 to 45
  • You are between 12 weeks and 5 years after giving birth
  • You either had preeclampsia in pregnancy or you did not
  • You did not have chronic high blood pressure or metabolic problems before pregnancy
  • You do not currently take blood-pressure medicines, cholesterol-lowering medicines (like statins), or use tobacco
  • You are not pregnant and do not plan pregnancy during the study; your body weight is not underweight (BMI 18.5 or higher); no latex or study-drug allergies
