This study checks whether a new type of EEG recording (a brain wave test) can detect seizure activity in people with epilepsy. You may join if you are already scheduled for routine and video EEG testing (and possibly inpatient monitoring) as part of your clinical care, including a brain MRI.

Who can take part
- You’re either a child age 6–17, or an adult age 18+
- You already have epilepsy and prior EEG tests showed abnormal seizure-related activity
- You are scheduled for routine outpatient EEG and can join a follow-up telemedicine video visit after the EEG
- You are also scheduled for inpatient video-EEG monitoring for diagnosis, including possible placement of internal (stereo) electrodes for pre-surgery evaluation
- You have a recent brain MRI available that can be used to align (co-register) the EEG data
- You can safely have EEG sensor application (no scalp sores/infections, and no serious allergy to electrode paste or gel)
