Brain stimulation to reduce cravings in chemsex users

This trial tests a non-painful brain stimulation method (tDCS) to help reduce cravings related to chemsex. If you qualify, you’ll be randomly assigned to real stimulation or a sham (placebo) and complete study visits and questionnaires.

Who can take part

  • You agree to join and sign a consent form
  • You’re 18 or older
  • You’ve used chemsex drugs at least monthly for the past 6 months or at least 10 times in the past year
  • A study doctor feels you’re motivated and willing to change your chemsex behavior
  • You have no major uncontrolled mental health or medical condition that needs urgent care
  • You have no prior benefit from tDCS and no implanted devices that interact with electricity
