Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older and male or female
- Have been hospitalized for suspected or confirmed acute myocarditis in Grenoble or Lyon during June 2016–June 2025
- Your first diagnosis must include chest pain plus at least 1 heart test sign, or no chest pain but at least 2 heart test signs (ECG changes, troponin/blood marker rise, or ultrasound movement changes)
- You must have at least 2 MRI signs of heart tissue injury (swelling/edema, higher blood flow/hyperemia, or scar/fibrosis)
- You must not have specific other heart or lung causes (like known coronary artery disease, certain cardiomyopathies, sarcoidosis/amyloidosis, takotsubo, blood clot to the lung, or major valve disease)
