Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older
- You are planning brain surgery to remove a known or suspected glioblastoma
- You must be well enough for surgery (Karnofsky score 70% or higher) and have at least 6 months expected survival
- Your neurosurgeon believes they can remove at least 80% of the enhancing (active-looking) tumor area
- You must be able to have MRI scans, and blood tests must meet minimum levels (white cells, neutrophils, platelets, hemoglobin) and liver/kidney numbers must be within limits
- If you can become pregnant, you need a negative pregnancy test and effective birth control; if you can father a child, you must use effective contraception
