Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old
- Your tumor has confirmed HER2-positive breast cancer, and you can provide stored tumor tissue
- Your cancer has measurable signs on scans, and you can have regular study imaging
- Your overall health is good enough for treatment (ECOG performance status 0 or 1) and you can swallow pills
- Your heart and blood tests are strong enough (including left heart pumping function with LVEF at least 50%)
- If you have brain metastases, they must be stable enough (not needing immediate urgent treatment) based on timing of prior radiation or surgery
