Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for surgery to remove a spinal cord tumor
  • You can have the MRE scan and tolerate it during the test
  • You must be able to give informed consent
  • You should not have metal in your body (like pacemakers or metal implants) or items that can’t be removed
  • You should not be in the first three months of pregnancy
  • You should not have severe claustrophobia/anxiety or severe fever
